Two years after having selected and successfully implemented AMOS to manage its modern fleet of 35 A320, the Mexican low-cost carrier Viva Aerobus now kicked-off the implementation of AMOSmobile.
The AMOSmobile/EXEC module is an add-on to AMOS which is designed with the ultimate goal to enable the paperless execution of all line & base maintenance activities.
At Viva Aerobus’ five main maintenance stations, around 200 mechanics will use AMOSmobile. By equipping the mechanics with iPad mobile devices, the company will benefit from real time information exchange between the various maintenance departments and the back-office users. Mechanics will have the possibility to check stock of parts after first having performed troubleshooting, not only on the A/C, but also by accessing the A/C history in AMOSmobile. The implementation of AMOSmobile will also enable Viva Aerobus to increase the mechanics productivity by reducing the amount of time spent travelling between the aircraft and office to update the performed maintenance in AMOS, whether this is unscheduled or scheduled as part of a planned workpackage.
AMOSmobile delivers process-driven menus and functions on a touch-optimised device will ensure that the mechanic has ability to customise their AMOSmobile dashboard in an intuitive and user-friendly format.
On the mid-long term, Viva Aerobus is also considering to implement e-signature which is another major step in order to advance in their digital transformation.
Our Miami based team is happy to accompany Viva Aerobus during all the necessary stages to complete a successful AMOSmobile implementation!
