Job Title Team leader Software Quality Control
Task You will be heading a team of Test Engineers and will have the responsibility to establish and continuously review the overall test strategy, processes and tools within Swiss AviationSoftware.

The software quality activities and structures have significantly grown in the last 5 years. Whereas we focused in creating all the new structures in the last 5 years, the future focus is on improving their effectiveness and efficiency.

Our Test Engineers are part of our self-acting development teams., but are reporting to you via a matrix organization. You are responsible to support Test Engineers in the definition of test cases, automation of these test cases and monitoring and tracking of test results. Work assignment is done directly via the respective self-acting development team.

Preparation, co-ordination and management of all test activities for either delivery of major releases or minor fixes are as well part of your main duties.

Main Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 8 Test Engineers working in a matrix organization
•- Set priorities for your team in close cooperation with the respective development team leaders to ensure task completion for daily and long-term activities.
- Define, monitor and continuously adapt the overall test-strategy, -processes, -plans and -methods.
- Ensure all testing activities (planning, design, coordination and execution) and monitor them with regards to quality, milestones and costs.
- Define appropriate metrics to measure test progress and to continuously assess the quality of testing and of the product.
- Manage the complete process of releasing new major releases or patches for existing major releases.
- Assist the Test Engineers in the definition of test strategies, managing test plans and in the execution of the plans for their respective modules.

•- Design, automate and execute automated tests
-• Track and manage defects
-• Support product development at all levels regarding product quality
- Manage the customer communication regarding Software Quality topics in close collaboration with our Customer Relationship Management team.

Requirements Essential
-• Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or similar scientific subject; or a comparable experience
-• 5+ years experience in software testing, including very good knowledge of testing processes, methodologies and tools
-• Few years experience in leading small teams
-• Experience in test automation (QTP, QF Test, etc.)
-• Experience with scripting or programming languages
-• Experience with software engineering methods
-• Fluency in English (German is an advantage)
-• Effective teamwork and very good interpersonal skills
-• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• -Highly proactive, independent and able to work under pressure
-• Drive and motivated to meet targets

Desirable
• - Experience in Unit testing
-• Java coding skills
-• SQL skills
